Professional Competency Assessment
In July of 2010, both ACPA and NASPA's board of directors endorsed a document that included ten competency areas for professionals in the field of student affairs. As a part of the College Student Personnel (CSP) Program at Bowling Green State University, students must rate their perceived competence in each area as "acceptable," "proficient," or "exemplary."
The following links will take you to my personal assessment of achievement for each competency. Within each link, you will find a brief introduction to that competency, my assessment of my achievement in that competency, and any artifacts I have included for each competency. Finally, at the bottom of the page I have included each point of the competency that I believe I have accomplished or achieved at this point in my graduate career, and life in general.
